WELCOME TO THE NEST! Students, parents, faculty and staff at Summit Parkway Middle School are proud to work together to offer a premier teaching and learning environment. Here at The Nest, our advisory activities starts the day for our students consisting of community circles, 7 Mindsets, AVID organizational skills, silent sustained reading and student goal setting. Continued use of these activities will further enhance the growth mindset of the students as led by our faculty & staff. Professional development for teachers includes but are not limited to AVID instructional strategies, differentiated instruction, rigor and questioning techniques, building rapport with students, restorative practices, behavior strategies, culturally responsive teaching and equity in education. We will continue to strive for excellence in learning, character, community and joy in The Nest.
